Farmington, New York, September 2011: Badger Technologies, Inc., a contract manufacturer of printed circuit board assembles, electrical cable and wire harness assembles, and complete electro-mechanical box builds announced that they have moved their electrical cable and wire harness assembly operation from Penn Yan to their Farmington facility. With this move all of Badger's manufacturing will be housed in the same location. An extension of 18,000 square feet to the Farmington facility has been built to house this capability, as well as to provide room for growth.
Badger has experienced strong growth in the last eighteen months. Resulting in an increase of over 35% in job creation. According to Togo DeBellis, Chief Executive Officer, Badger Technologies, Inc. "This move will improve upon the product quality and cost efficiencies we have already built in to our business structure. We believe that combining our operations under one roof will drive continued lean manufacturing practices, cross training opportunities, improved supply chain efficiencies, and will position Badger to be much more competitive domestically and globally. The result being improved customer service and satisfaction."
Badger gained much support for this move from the Ontario County Development, a cooperative effort of the Ontario County Office of Economic Development, the Ontario County Industrial Development Agency, and the Ontario County Economic Development Corporation.
It is expected that the new facility will be up and running by mid October.
